Setting Up Passkeys

Sign in with fingerprint or face

What are passkeys?

Passkeys let you sign in with your fingerprint (Touch ID), face (Face ID), or device PIN instead of a password. They're more secure than passwords because they can't be phished or reused.

Registering a passkey

  1. Go to Settings → Account Security → Passkeys
  2. Enter a name (e.g., 'MacBook Touch ID')
  3. Click Register Passkey
  4. Your device will ask for biometric confirmation
  5. Done — the passkey is saved

Signing in with a passkey

On the login page, click Sign in with Passkey. Your device will prompt for biometric authentication. No email or password needed.

Managing passkeys

View all registered passkeys in Settings. To delete one, enter your password to confirm.
