Linking Your Telegram for Safety Pings

Connect your Telegram so you can confirm presence checks

If your site uses presence checks (a safety feature on some sites), the system sends you periodic Telegram messages during your shift. You confirm with a tap. To receive them, you need to link your Telegram once.

One-time setup

  1. Check in at the site as usual (scan the QR code, enter your details)
  2. On the success page, look for a sky-blue card titled Link Telegram for safety pings
  3. Tap Open Telegram & Link
  4. Telegram opens. Tap the Start button at the bottom
  5. The bot replies "Linked, [your name]"

That's it. From now on you'll receive safety check messages from @ClockMiBot during shifts at sites where this is enabled.

The button only appears when:

  • The site has presence checks enabled (some sites don't use this feature)
  • Your employer's plan includes presence checks
  • You haven't already linked Telegram

If you've already linked, you'll receive messages automatically without needing to relink.

Got a new phone or Telegram account?

Send /unlink to the bot from your old Telegram, then re-link from the check-in success page on your new device. Or ask your admin to unlink you and check in again.

Privacy

We store only your Telegram chat ID (a number) so we can send you messages. We don't read your other Telegram chats and we never share your chat ID outside the platform.
