Responding to a Safety Check

How to confirm a presence-check Telegram ping

You'll receive a Telegram message from @ClockMiBot that looks like:

🟢 Safety check for Bukit Merah HDB. Tap to confirm: clockmi.com/presence/…

What to do

  1. Tap the link in the message
  2. The page opens in your phone's browser
  3. If a selfie is required, tap the camera button to take one
  4. Allow location access when prompted
  5. Tap Confirm I'm On-Site
  6. You'll see a green "Confirmed" page — you're done

How long do you have?

You have a grace window after the check is sent (typically 15 minutes — your admin sets this per site). If you miss the window, the check is marked as missed and your admin is notified.

What if I miss one?

You stay checked in normally — missed checks don't auto-check-you-out. The record is just flagged for your admin to review. Talk to them if there's a reason (no signal, in a basement, etc.).

What if location is denied or fails?

If your site requires location, you'll need to allow it in your browser settings and try again. If your site doesn't require location, you can submit without it.

No. Each link is signed and tied to your specific check. Even if someone gets the URL, they can't reuse it for someone else's check, and the link expires once you submit (or the grace window passes).
