Missed Checkout

What happens when workers forget to check out

If a worker doesn't check out, the record is flagged as a missed checkout and appears in the Missing Checkouts report.

Auto-checkout threshold

The system auto-closes stale check-ins after the configured threshold — default 12 hours. Adjust this in Settings → Auto-checkout hours (range 1–24).

When a worker hits the threshold, their record's status flips to missed_checkout (with a flagged reason) and the worker is treated as no longer checked in. The next time they scan a QR, a fresh check-in starts.

Manual adjustment

Admins can review and edit any record from the attendance detail page — set the actual check-out time, recalculate hours, change status, or add a note.
